FAQ

WHAT MAKES WU COFFEE BEANS DIFFERENT FROM REGULAR SUPERMARKET COFFEE?

Wu Coffee Beans are freshly roasted in small batches, ensuring every bag is full of vibrant aroma and complex flavour. Unlike mass-produced coffee, ours is never stored for months - it’s roasted to order and shipped fresh, so you taste the beans, not the shelf life.

ARE THE BEANS SINGLE-ORIGIN OR A BLEND?

We offer both. Our single-origin coffees highlight the unique flavour profile of one region or farm, while our blends are carefully crafted for balance, consistency, and a smooth cup every time.

WHAT ROAST LEVEL ARE THEY – LIGHT, MEDIUM, OR DARK?

Our most popular roast is medium, designed to bring out rich sweetness and depth without bitterness. We also offer light roasts for brighter, fruitier notes and dark roasts for a bold, chocolatey flavour - perfect for espresso lovers.

ARE WU COFFEE BEANS SUITABLE FOR ESPRESSO, FILTER, OR BOTH?

Yes - Wu Coffee Beans are versatile. Choose espresso grind for your machine, or filter grind for pour-over, French press, or drip. If you’re buying whole beans, you can brew them however you like.

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY COFFEE TO KEEP IT FRESH?

Store beans in an airtight container, away from light, heat, and moisture. For daily use, keep at room temperature.

For longer storage, freeze in small batches. Beans can stay fresh for up to a year. Grind right before brewing.

ARE THE BEANS FRESHLY ROASTED TO ORDER, OR PRE-ROASTED?

Every batch is roasted fresh, typically within a few days of your order. You’ll find the roast date printed on each bag so you always know exactly how fresh your coffee is.

CAN I BUY THE COFFEE PRE-GROUND, OR IS IT WHOLE BEANS ONLY?

You can choose either. We recommend whole beans for maximum freshness.

IS WU COFFEE ETHICALLY SOURCED OR CERTIFIED?

Yes, our coffee is sourced from trusted farms and cooperatives that follow ethical and sustainable practices. We pay fair prices to growers and partner with roasters who share our values of transparency and respect for the craft.

WHAT’S THE BEST BREW RATIO OR RECIPE FOR WU COFFEE BEANS?

A good starting point is 1:15. That’s 1 gram of coffee for every 15 grams of water. Adjust to taste: stronger for espresso or milder for pour-over. Always use filtered water and freshly ground beans for the best results.

HOW LONG AFTER ROASTING IS THE COFFEE AT ITS BEST?

Our beans hit their flavour peak between 7 to 21 days after roasting. Coffee is still great beyond that window, but for the ultimate experience, try to enjoy it within 4–6 weeks of the roast date.
